    Plaquenil withdrawal headache

It works by preventing or treating malaria, a red blood cell infection transmitted by the bite of a mosquito. However, this medicine is not used to treat severe or complicated malaria.

We study how severe was Withdrawal syndrome, when it was recovered, drug effectiveness, race, and more among people who take Plaquenil. This study is created by eHealthMe based on reports of 1,993 people who have side effects when taking Plaquenil from sources other than FDA, and is updated regularly. I got prescribed Plaquenil last week and, since the first dose, have got horrible headaches. I stopped taking it and the headache stopped. Has anyone else had headaches with it? I know it's a listed side-effect, but I don't know whether to keep taking it in the hope that the headache goes after a couple of weeks. What are the side effects of Plaquenil? The most common side effects are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, skin rash or black spots when you look at things. Most side effects will go away when your body gets used to the medicine.

It is also used to treat acute and chronic rheumatoid arthritis. Hydroxychloroquine is used to treat discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) or systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE or lupus).

  3. Nov 12, 2009 Plaquenil is a 6-weeker as far as the benefits are concerned, but it would be more dangerous to stop if you spend a lot of time outside and if this were the summer. If you're gonna experiment, I went off it cold turkey as it didn't hurt to do it that way, but you better get back on before the summer or you could experience a flare-up.

I can't believe you were told to stop taking plaquenil after only 6 months since it can take up to one YEAR to achieve full benefits! I don't know much about any sort of withdrawal but if I were you I'd start taking it again. I'd also have your thyroid checked. I'm hypothyroid and take levo along with he plaquenil. Hello all, I am currently new to this site and ran across the discussion about stopping Plaquenil. I have been taking Plaquenil for about 8-9 months and thought that it was not helping me because I still have a fair amount of joint pain, fatigue, muscle pain and so many other issues. Sep 16, 2019 These headaches and other symptoms will usually increase by day 3 of alcohol withdrawal when the individual is hitting the peak of acute withdrawal and starting day 4 will usually begin to subside in intensity and continue to slowly subside over the course of the first few weeks of sobriety.
