  4. Hey Carol. My lupus symptoms began with CNS issues including the jerking, but with plaquenil etc, the jerking subsided for many months. Lately every time I flare I become a jerk. I especially notice it when my body is at rest. Some part muscle/tendon must be in motion constantly and it's jerking, not twitching.
