    Plaquenil & Weight Gain/Loss - Interesting! I had been losing weight fairly rapidly and without trying before starting on Plaquenil - and it stopped after a few weeks of taking it, as did the alarming hair loss. I had no idea Plaquenil could be a weight gain culprit. I've been on Plaq for 4 years now, and weight gain is a problem.
