Chloroquine Phosphate. Chloroquine is used to prevent or treat malaria caused by mosquito bites in countries where malaria is common. Malaria parasites can enter the body through these mosquito bites, and then live in body tissues such as red blood cells or the liver. Each tablet contains 500 mg of chloroquine phosphate USP, equivalent to 300 mg chloroquine base. Inactive Ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, dibasic calcium phosphate, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate80, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate and titanium dioxide. Chloroquine is the most widely used drug against malaria, except for those cases caused by chloroquine resistant Plasmodium falciparum. Although the mechanism of action is not fully understood, chloroquine is shown to inhibit the parasitic enzyme heme polymerase that converts the toxic heme into non-toxic hemazoin.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur while taking chloroquine: Incidence not known Some side effects of chloroquine may occur that usually do not need medical attention. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

How To Buy – Chloroquine phosphate CP is an antimalarial drug for humans which also treats external parasites that afflict marine fish and possibly freshwater fish as well. However, there are a few challenges to overcome with CP. The very first is obtaining it because a prescription is usually required to buy. Quinine and chloroquine poisoning are characterized by severe cardiovascular toxicity resulting from sodium and potassium channel blockade, leading to hypotension, shock, arrhythmias and cardiac arrest. Quinine poisoning can cause irreversible visual loss. Chloroquine is a 4-aminoquinoline with antimalarial, anti-inflammatory, and potential chemosensitization and radiosensitization activities. Although the mechanism is not well understood, chloroquine is shown to inhibit the parasitic enzyme heme polymerase that converts the toxic heme into non-toxic hemazoin.

I posted here a few days ago because I was about to start taking Plaquenil. Except today I started having some heartburn after taking it. But you may not need or want to take an antacid everyday. Plaquenil & Weight Gain/Loss - Lynwood, I can't answer your question about weight gain or loss on plaquenil but I did go off plaquenil a few months ago and haven't been the same since. I regret the decision which had I made because I'd felt pretty well for quite some time and was doing my best to slowly get off as many meds as possible.
